Financial FAQ’s:
1. Question: When are typists paid and what periods do those payments apply to?
Answer: Typists are paid every Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday). The times of payment vary. Payments will be made sometime that day, sometimes late at night PACIFIC TIME. Please do not email us asking where your pay is. If you did not receive your PayPal deposit during the morning or afternoon, you should assume that it will arrive later that night. If you still haven’t been paid and it’s past midnight Pacific Time (that’s 3am Eastern Time), you should submit a help desk ticket.
Before you contact us, you should (a) make sure you have a PayPal account and (b) log in to your typist portal and make sure your PayPal address is entered correctly. PayPal accounts are always email addresses.
When you log into your typist account and click on the work history button, you will see each pay period and the date you will be paid for that period. Note that there is a 2-3 week lag. If you change a pay period you must also hit the view transcriptions button or the page will not refresh to the period you are inquiring about.
2. Question: I believe the amount I was paid is not correct.
Answer: You should track your word counts and your job id #’s (which is at the bottom of the page of every job that you complete). If there is a discrepancy, and you have the word counts and job numbers, please email them to support@quicktate.com, showing your full name in the subject line of the email. This will help us research the problem. Note that your word counts are tracked and stored in your portal, and can be found on your Work History page.
Note that if you are typing a Quicktate file and you click "skip" instead of "submit", your account will NOT be credited for the words you typed.
If you are owed money, this will be processed as a separate payment via PayPal.
3. Question: Why wasn’t I paid at all?
Answer: Before going any further, make sure:
A. That the payment date that just passed covered work done in the period you are inquiring about.
B. Log in to your account and confirm that your PayPal account has been entered correctly. It is very possible that we have finished paying everyone, but your PayPal address was entered incorrectly, or not at all. Your PayPal address is the email you used to create your PayPal account. https://paypal.com
4. Question: I have an issue with my PayPal account on file. Can you please change it for your records?
Answer: No we cannot, you need to do this yourself. You can do this by logging into your typist account clicking on the profile button and editing it there. Make sure you hit the save button.
5: Question: Can you check my PayPal address to make sure it's correct?
Answer: No, we cannot. You can do that by logging into your typist account and clicking on the edit profile button. Make sure you hit the save button or any changes made will not be saved.
6 Question: How soon will payments be sent to my newly updated PayPal address?
Answer: The payment data is created 3 weeks before the date of payment. If you wish for the upcoming payment be sent to the newly updated PayPal address, please notify us that you updated your profile by noon the Friday before the payment is to be sent.
